  • Tutoring with Classic Readers

    One option I offer for private tutoring uses classic readers. I meet with the student virtually to offer support, practice, help, and encouragement as they work on sounding out words, spelling, and reading comprehension. In between, they’ll work through daily lessons— I work with parent and student to create a homework schedule that works for their needs and schedule.

  • Tutoring with a Selection of Story Books

    Another option I offer for tutoring uses story books, selected from a list of children’s story and early chapter books I know and love. I meet virtually with the student and they get uninterrupted time reading together with my help, support, and encouragement in sounding out words, spelling, and reading comprehension. I provide the parent and student with a selection of books to choose from before we dive in, and work with them to create a homework schedule that works for their needs and schedule.
